Keane Wade | 7th year | Half-blood | TAKEN → The Leader
FC: Beau Mirchoff [Locked]
Background Story: At the age of eight, Keane’s parents were killed in front of him by a dark wizard. The only thing he could remember was that one moment, they were all smiles and laughs, and then the next, there was a brilliant flash of green light and his mother and father were on the ground, eyes open and unseeing. His parents deaths sparked quit the uproar in the wizarding community, but to this day, their murder remains unsolved. Some think it was a case of ‘wrong place wrong time’, but others, particularly close extended family, believed that Keane’s parents had been targeted by a sinister and dark force. After his parent’s deaths, Keane was taken in by his wealthy uncle who took it upon himself to raise the child in his brother’s stead. Keane developed a deep respect for the man, and soon thought of his as a second father, though Keane could never, truly, forget the moments of the night that made him an orphan. Growing up, Keane was taught to lead and to never think of himself before anyone else. For the primary job of a leader was to protect the people around them.
About Keane: The first thing someone will learn about Keane Wade is that he is a born leader. He has always been the kind of guy to stick up for others and make sure everything is okay. Despite his parent’s murder, Keane has turned all of the negative emotions into positive ones. However, deep down the brunette wants more than anything to get his revenge. When no one’s around, he often takes out an old photograph of his parents and just looks at it; the memories of that fateful night always flooding his mind repeatedly. Keane doesn’t like to show this side of him; the part that’s angry and hurt, because if people knew then they’d pity him. So in front of others, Keane likes keeping up an appearance, one that’s happy and content. But despite his darker and more depressing side, he believes strongly in never giving up on something. He is also known for putting other people’s problems before his own. Because of his need to lead, he doesn’t particularly like it when people try to control him, nor does he care much for rules if he thinks they’re stupid. Keane would rather be in control of his own actions than have someone else try to boss him around. This has made him notorious for being kicked out of classes or persuaded into fights and has also found him a kind of partner in crime in the form of Samantha Bell. Both share this desire to be free and protect those around them at all costs. His best friend, Charlie White, tries to keep Keane’s rebellious side tamed, but sometimes not even the fellow Gryffindor can help. The two boys don’t exactly see eye to eye on certain things, but that’s only understandable since neither exactly like talking about deep, emotional, subjects. But don’t think these two wouldn’t stand up for the other, because they would in a heartbeat. In a way, Keane considers Charlie to be the brother he never had. Recently, something bigger has been tugging at Keane’s mind. He does not like the news of the recent disappearances. He is set on standing up for people, and is ultimately thinking of starting up Dumbledore’s Army. We wonder if Keane will succeed in his quest, or if the approaching darkness will be too much for the leader to handle…
What Has Happened Recently: After the disappearance of numerous students, Keane founded Dumbledors Army 2.0, and started recruiting. The first to join him was Alex Orrick, and ever since the girls admittance, he’s developed a bit of a crush on the Ravenclaw. She was smart and loyal and strong and he felt completely relaxed in her company. Things progressed even further when, during the Obscura’s attack during Lauren Della Rey’s funeral, Alex kissed him before running off to protect a group of first years. After what seemed like weeks of rebuilding after the attack, Keane plucked up the courage to kiss her again, this time because he wanted to, not because there was fear that either one of them was going to die. Alas, with the recent attack that left five aurors dead, Keane’s Uncle thought it was best to pull him from school. Despite how much he hates what his Uncle has done, he has no choice. He just hopes to return to Hogwarts soon, to Alex and the rest of the DA.
