We wouldn’t mind having Esmeralda around!
As for right now we don’t have any planned before the re-vamp in May. But if someone wants a specific character or has an idea they’re more than welcome to create and OC.
We’re in a bit of a transition period, I’d say. As it turns out most, if not all, of the characters that are taken right now will be graduating at the end of May, so we’re going to do a re-vamp then and shift towards life after Hogwarts with a tie in to the Obscura/Order. We’re still very much accepting applications, though! And any questions anyone has about our plans and/or the direction in which we’re going to head in the future.
We are not, no!
If you guys have any questions I’ll be here all day reading over applications and looking through to main to tidy some things up!
Hey all! I’m just stopping in to update and say that our second AU Week will be finishing up tomorrow at Midnight PST. This just marks the end of the event, if para’s are still going on and wish to be completed, then you may do so! But conversations can revert back to Hogwarts and such. You guys are rockin’ this AU Week and we love reading what everyone’s thought up! Keep writing, you guys are doing great!
The time has run out to submit where you wanted your character to be for this AU Week! So the lists have been filled and people have been randomly assigned. Remember, those who are inside the Compound can gif chat while those on the outside must first partake in a small para before they can do so. Be creative guys!
"We've all lost someone." -- Rick (The Walking Dead)
In the end it wasn’t a natural disaster or a nuclear bomb that did humanity in, it was themselves. Their thirst to be better, become stronger, smarter, be the perfect species. The first stages of gene therapy began in the United States and before anyone knew what was happening, the sickness was sweeping across the globe, turning patients and those who were on deaths door into the walking dead.
Today marks the start of our second AU Week! And we’re going to delve into the zombie apocalypse. Now, this AU Week is going to work a bit differently than others. We’ll work with the same fact that your characters will not know each other, unless expressed interest is shown and a good reason is given. We think this gives everyone more to talk about and discuss. With that being said, for the rest of tonight and until tomorrow at noon you can send in a message to the main stating whether or not you want your character to be inside a fortified town (there will only be five spots available for this) or alone and wondering the outlying countryside. The first five people to express interest in being inside the compound will get it on a first come first serve basis, however, you must provide a specific skill that your character can provide for the people inside the walls of the compound. Furthermore, if you have multiple characters, you can only place one inside the compound, so choose wisely.
This AU Week will work on the rule of if you didn’t write it, it didn’t happen. Which means that we want to see some paraing going on. Now it doesn’t have to be four long paragraphs. It can be a short gif para or even a small paragraph, but we just want to delve into the showing instead of telling aspect of writing. If your characters are inside the compound together then those can consist of gif chats seeing as they’re in the same vicinity. But for everyone else we want to have you guys work to get to someone. And once you have found someone you may gif chat with that person.
Much like the last AU Week we’ll be issuing some tasks. These will center around certain scenarios that your character will be presented with and how they would react/deal with it. But we wont spoil them for now! Below you’ll find the lists. People inside the compound can venture outside in raiding parties/to find water/etc. And those outside can certainly stumble across the Compound in their wandering. Be creative!
Those inside The Compound →
The compound offers a secure and safe environment for your character. There are provisions and weapons, but the leader, a loss-hardened man, is volatile and power-hungry. Most step in line only because of their fear of him and what he might do if he found anyone unfitting to live inside the walls. Those who have something to provide for the greater population are kept safe because the moment you become useless… you’re gone.
Those on the Outside →
You are surrounded by the constant threat of encountering a walker, running out of food and water, not having a stable place to call home, though you travel of your own accord and make your own rules. The truest sense of freedom there is, but the price for it is your safety.
